Growing up I always knew color and design would be part of my life. I was the awkward girl in the corner engrossed in a coloring book or a blank sheet of paper scribbling away being an “artist”.  My favorite classes involved anything to do with design.  In high school determining a career path was easy- how could I make design part of my future world?  College was a must in my family but unfortunately the dream of heading to New York City’s famous Fashion Institute of Technology to pursue my design career was not in the cards for a quiet family from Pennsylvania, so off to a two year community college I went.  I loved my path in Marketing and Design and after graduation headed out to the retail world.  When the greatest blessings in my life arrived in the form of my beautiful 3 sons, I knew I had to be a stay at home mom.  How to be creative with 3 boys all under 5? Paint of course! I started painting trompe l’oiel items on flea market furniture finds out in my garage. For example, a faux cherry pie sitting on top a wooden counter stool or a faux pen and paper on an end table, then sending them to my local consignment shop.  Those items lead to phone calls for more custom pieces. When the boys headed off to school so did I, pursuing my formal interior design degree. Through hard work, determination and word of mouth my true career was born. Twenty five years later I get to wake up looking forward to helping my clients realize their home’s potential.
